dP(A) Acoustics, Inc., is a twenty-four (24) year old firm that provides consulting services in the areas of acoustics, noise control and audio/visual design for projects such as auditoria, churches, multi-family (apartments/condominia/lofts/elderly housing/student housing), educational facilities, hospitals, commercial buildings and courthouses.

The firm is owned and operated by DP Ayyappan, commonly known as “DP”, who has been practicing acoustics since 1979. His educational background includes undergraduate degrees in science and architecture along with a graduate degree in sensory environmental design from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. DP’s graduate thesis was on the subject of “shoe box-shaped” classical concert halls such as the Vienna Musikvereinssaal and the Boston Symphony Hall; he used the famed Troy Music Hall

for his research along with its 1/16 scale model.

dP(A) Acoustics, Inc., is certified as a HUB Entity by the State of Texas and as a MBE firm by NCTRCA, the Dallas/Fort Worth certification agency.
